    Hi everyone, this is my first post, I have come across a vase that I am having trouble decoding. I am completely new to antiques.
    Clues are H Nixon signature, royal doulton stamp but it looks like a fake or misprint or worn? The last O looks like a U.

    Well you have a good one there, Doulton Harry Nixon pieces are desirable .. or at least they were desirable ...

    Not a fake, don't worry, these are not faked afaik

    What does the 1315 represent? I am a complete novice! Is it an edition number?
    Also, does the RA number give an idea of when the vase was manufactured?

    It has come from my grandmothers china cabinet which has sat untouched since she died in 1996. My Pa now entering aged care has left it all behind. I have a feeling that the vase was my great grandmothers and was brought to Australia upon migrating from England.

    Well, haha, now, I do better with the graphics than dissecting the meanings on a LOT of the ceramic and porcelain, etc. items!!! MUCH better to ask @Bakersgma or @i need help, or @blooey, or @Ownedbybear!!!! Sorry!!:rolleyes::smuggrin:

    The 1315 is likely the shape number of the blank vase before decorated.

    Welcome to the forum!! :happy::happy::happy:

    BTW this can be very addicting, there is no known cure, & as long as you are not hurting anyone else or stealing the stuff, it is perfectly legal. ;):D:D:D

    It's all good. The impressed number is the shape, yes. Mark is 1902 to 1930. The other numbering refers to the decoration.
