These forums attracted me because they seem to be pretty diverse in topics on Old Stuff. Speaking of Old, I'm 70 this year, retired, and just trying to better identify some Old Stuff handed down through the family since about mid 1800's. I'm the end of the family line for this branch of our tree, but have a couple cousins that will at some point get the opportunity to enjoy the close connection I have had to ancestors for most of my life. I have zero interest in selling, and, let's face it, current generations for the most part do not value Old Stuff very much. So far there is nothing that really cries out for an insurance rider, but I just want the cousins to be better informed than I was on acquisition, to ensure they make the best decisions going forward. My hope is they will protect and preserve most for another 150 years. To that end, I will be offering up some photos to try and learn more details on certain items. I certainly appreciate the group knowledge base!
