I see both stoppers on several different brands of perfume bottles and am wondering if anyone knows if they are specific to a brand or just generic and were used by many companies? (Sorry for the sideways image - I can't figure out how to turn it upright.)

My SWAG on the second one is Viking, but I could not confirm that with any of my books or a Google search.

If you are on Facebook, several groups are good at ID'ing perfume-related items.

Be cautious when labeling this Hoffman.

There are scads of reproductions of the Hoffman bottles.

I think most of the bottles made by the brothers in the article are marked, but I don't know if the stoppers are marked.

Does your stopper have any evidence of a dauber being there at one time? From your photo it looks to be one of the stub-end daubers. Here is an eBay listing with what I believe is a Hoffman stopper. The older bottles have the thin daubers attached with a tiny "blob" of molten glass. The newer bottles have the stub-style or the thin dauber is inserted into the stub end somehow.
