Help ID Artist ?

Finally (!) popped the back off this painting I originally found/shared here back in Feb 24 (bout time).

-and here's the signature or notation I found on the back of the thick paper it was painted (acrylic ?) on-

Debora-That's what I see too.Now I'm just flopping around looking for a stylistic match.

 

Could also be, S. Jones.

 

Hmmm I see a D. Jones ?

 

Looking at the older thread about this picture, this label on the back of the framing may also include the artist's initials after the word "By."

Because there are different initials for the name of the assistant. I assume the assistant was the staff member in a framing store.

If so, the first initial might be a D. Or, it looks most like that to me. And am assuming last letter in that is a J.

 

Good input-I should call this gallery (if still open) and see if there's any paperwork/records ?

Thanks Debora,I'll give that other location a call-never know.The lifespan of a frame shop after Covid and a dicey economy might not be too long right now (?).
