Oil on cardboard (?) Russian painting

    Hi all. I found this pretty thing and had to have it. Its 12x18,and I was told on my FB art board it was by "V. Spirekov" but I was unable to find the artist. Any input is always appreciated.

    Did the FB art board provide you with any links that it was by V.Spirekov? I couldn't find anything on the signature on your painting or the name the FB board said it was by.

    IMTranslator tells me the title of OP, Покровский Собор, is Pokrovsky Cathedral. It does not look like any image of the cathedral I can find.

    There is the same artist name & a title. The word that looks like KAPTOH (carton) means cardboard, I believe.

    I have two paintings by Vadim Spirenkov bought when I was working in Moscow in 1991/92.

    They are both political satire and interesting because of the new freedom at that time, with the collapse of the Soviet Union. I can't seem to upload them.

    Welcome, Tim. The problem is usually that the file size exceeds the limit, below 1mb, preferably 640 x 480k.
