Northwood 698 Chinese Coral (possibly) glass tidbit sandwich tray

I am clearing out some things and this has been sitting since it was discussed here years ago.

It seems to be opaque Northwood 698 Chinese Coral sandwich tray (circa 1925) in shape but with some decoration along the edge. It is quite orange though looks red in the photos. No cracks or noticeable chips but wear to the gilt and straw marks. It's about 10 ½" in diameter. Interesting but not beautiful to my eye. I want to scrub the gilt off but haven't touched it.

Interesting question, and the answer is..........

There is a subtle glow in the center of the dish that corresponds with the straw marks and the very slight difference in color of the glass. The handle has the same slight glow.

yeah i think we can call that pretty unreactive......thought for a moment there i might need my googles so an experiment worthy of an answer
