Thank you for the resource & intro

Hi,
I'm relatively green to antiques and collectibles but for one reason or another I have been pulled into orbit of a couple of collectors and even an antique shop owner in the past few years; this is why I'm here.

The person that instilled my interest in antiques passed on this year. He ran a profitable life long business.

....So now I need like-minded people to help me grow my expertise in my narrow areas of interest: bronze, silver, jade, Japanese prints/Chinese dynastic items. Additionally, I dabble in comics, sports and film props. Again, not really by choice.

Background:
Started with infrequent garage sales somewhat enthusiastically a few years ago when I came across very old and lavish things for pennies in one particular neighborhood...but my enthusiasm fizzled out when I was simply unable to move my items to continue building a more valuable collection.

After a recent spell, I have had more fortune with finding items that are desirable, and to bat, ones I personally appreciate. My hope is to keep building a collection of varied items for a longer run...
