I am always amazed by this show! Last night they showed a rug that someone's relative made and it supposedly win 2nd prize at the 1939 World's Fair! I love WF stuff, went to the 1982 one in TN.

Another guy had Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle stuff from 1984. The creator was a waiter in his father's restaurant!

 

I saw those, in between a Youtube Live. It's amazing that they still exist.

 

World's Fairs are no longer held? I love the New York World's Fair of 1939–1940. It was a wonderful pre-war time. The Ford Pavilion was impressive.

 

I'm not sure. There was on in Atlanta, GA USA in 1996, that was a bit of a fiasco. I haven't heard of any since, but that doesn't mean there haven't been any.

I thought '82 Knoxville was the last one.

 

That was the 96 Olympics, my bad.

 

I went to the World's Fair in NY.
And had a blast. My aunt took me there as she lived in Brooklyn and drove a car.

 

My grandparents went to the 1939 Fair in NY during their honeymoon. My uncle went to the one in '65 in NY. I went to Knoxville in '82.

 

My parents both went to the 1939 as kids, and to the 1964/65 on a date.

I went to Expo 86.

 

we must have walked by each other.......

 

We were there as well. Hubs and DD, oldest stepdaughter, her hubby and 2 kids, younger stepson and his wife and her mom. We had a wonderful time.

 

Yes. It's wonderful. Visiting exhibitions with a large group of family members enhances the experience. Especially if the family members have close relationships.
