    I found another similar one in his name. They seem to be called cauldrons rather than cauldron shape, so not sure of their purpose

    Letter codes then dots after 1891 IIRC.

    Cauldron, and use for whatever one likes, but pot pourri is a good guess. I have a cabinet plate painted by Hopewell. Painters didn't sign their work like later on but his work is one that was sought after back in the ceramic collectible heyday. You could email the Worcester museum and see if they can say yea or nay for Hopewell.

    It looks like an open salt to me and those collectors would love it. (I'm resisting any more salts. 40 is enough!)

    The shape with those handles actually reminds me of Noritake.
