    This is the other plate. Measures 8" across. Also sold as early American redware.

    Pics 1, 2 & 3 all seem to show a translucent character...in fired an' glazed Clay?
    I am puzzled, but probably out of ignorance.

    Modeled after a silver plate shape as many early ceramic pieces were. Seems to have dome kinship with the other redware plate. Looks like some digging into early American pottery ahead!
