Featured There is still silver out there cheap

Picked up some sterling last weekend for cheap (4 bucks) a pair of candle sticks weighted and the pictured cup. The cup body tests as silver but the dragon handle tests much higher (using 18k acid) with a much stronger reaction then the body. The mark on the base is really well worn and i cant make heads or tails out of it so hoping someone here can recognize the style of cup. The weight of the cup is 101+ grams

 

With the 18 acid on testing stone, the faster the reaction comes up, the purer the silver. A really quick reaction can mean silverplate. That doesn't explain why the cup would have a slower reaction. So..dunno.

 

Here is a picture of the results on the stone, both reacted the same speed just the base one seems not as cloudy. It is not plated as I went deep enough. just curious to find 2 possible different reactions on one piece.

 

If it's plated, the base metal in the handle is totally different than what was used for the rest of the cup. If both are silver, it could have something to do with whatever is in the alloy.

 

It's a nice cup -- I can't help with the mark, but the figure on the right reminds me of a teddy bear. I hope somebody can help!
