For newbies, Cape Cod transfer stations usually have a "gift house" or "swap shop" where you can bring nice things you don't want and pick up nice things you do want. Someone must have cleared out a house and had a yard sale because some of the pieces still had price stickers. I only picked up a few things and hubby watched carefully so he can tell me how many things I have to bring over in response. LOL. He's actually very understanding.

Question about the Weimar bowl. 6" across. Is this a berry bowl?

The lacquerware is new, but my son & grandson love Asian food and the sauces will look good in these.

Homer Laughlin China was founded in 1899 in East Liverpool, Ohio. (Before that it was Laughlin Pottery, founded in the early 1870s.) They moved across the Ohio River to Nevel, West Virginia in 1907. Hudson is the shape, which can be plain or decorated in different patterns. Some pieces have date codes and L or N under the mark so you can tell in which plant it was made, although I did not see that on yours. "By 1917, the cursive style lettering [in the face name] was replaced by typeface," so yours must be 1916 or earlier. Today the company is the Fiesta Tableware Company. I found my information on these sites:

(I have a plain white vegetable dish in Hudson from July 1912, East Liverpool.)

Google image found what may be a match for your oblong cut glass bowl with two flowers. EBay seller calls it "American Brilliant Dahlia Button Celery Tray Antique ABP 10.5" Ting Ring Heavy"..."maybe Jenkins." (I have no idea if the seller is accurate)

I haven't collected glass in a looong time. And I got rid of my Noritake collection in 1990. I couldn't resist free pieces.

Sure, call the Weimar piece a berry bowl. But the interior is so pretty that I wouldn't cover it up with fruit.:D

My grandmother bought hers new, or got it as wedding gifts. I think Mom finally gave it away in the 2000s.
