She has yarn hair and an embroidered face. She is machine stitched as are her clothes. The embroidery on her face and clothes is hand stitched.
Her dress is falling apart from age. Her slip and pants are still in very good solid condition. The buttons are mother of pearl.
    She is about 16" tall.

I'm guessing she was made some time between 1880 and 1930s, which is pretty useless. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Off the top of my head... I'd think 1940s.

Mommy-made / folk art type project. May have come from a pattern in a lady's magazine. As such it's impossible to say really, could be as late as 50's-60's but the clothing looks older.

It the length is mid-calf -- can't tell from your photos -- not going to be earlier than 1920s. I see a ruffled collar, puffed sleeves, basque waistline, tiered skirt; all of these are elements of 1940s fashion. As are pompadour bangs.

    Thank you Deborah and Satin.

    1940s makes sense.

The doll is a home-made rag doll from the 40s. It wouldn't be surprised if she was something made for Christmas or a birthday during WWII when you couldn't go out and buy stuff. The dress is a lot earlier; it may have been something Mom already had from her own dolls.

The collar and cuffs of the dress have the same embroidery as the slip and panties.

Someone's precious Darling. I had Raggedy Ann, an' Andy. Sure wish I had kept 'em. Not so much for their value now...but for company on cold, wet, windy winter nights.
