What is this Barbee, U.S.A. tool used for?

    Thanks for your help! I sold tools for 20 years, and I’m stumped! It measures 12” x 4”, made by The Barbee Co., Louisville, Kentucky, U.S.A. One end is marked “R”, the other “N”. It’s quite heavy, ferrous metal. The jaws are open in the resting position. Thank you!

    The company sells "heat transfer products." That's all I got.

    And maybe other things. Would/could you post a photograph of the logo from straight on please? That might help us identify the purpose and age of the tool.

    Great identification! Still, please post a photograph of the logo and we may be able to tell you have old it is. (That's not the company's current logo.)
