Featured I have this cold painted running fox.........

I don't have pics yet but here's a listing for the same thing on Worthopedia.

The ones I found were anywhere from $30 to $125 and most called them hood ornaments. This just doesn't strike me as a hood ornament. I think it's too small and mine has one screw hole in the bottom while some have 2 screw holes.

Any ideas?

I also didn't think it was very old, but the older picture in that set seems to show the fox on the car back in the day.

Huh, hard to see in the photo, but ceramic car mascot? Ya gotta be vewy, vewy careful!!

 

It is hard to see in that photo but there is another on that page that shows it clearly but in recent times.

It's painted or enameled metal.

 

I found that several of the listings for similar things listed Lejeune as a maker.
They have quite a few hood ornaments that you wouldn't think were hood ornaments.
