Belonged to my grandmother. Guessing that she got it from her mother and so on. Think it's white gold with an old style cut diamond. (That round style that seemed to be popular back in the day). Can't find a mark on it. If there is one, it's small. Diamond looks to be around a carat. It's pretty white and clear. Sorry the pic's aren't very good. Hard to get good close up's on small things. My daughter wants it but I need to get it appraised for insurance. Any idea's about age & style? Is that diamond cut called anything? All comments are welcome and appreciated. 20260603_180702 (1).jpg 20260603_180827.jpg 20260603_180945.jpg

Your appraiser should be able to provide you with that information. That said... If you do a Google Image search for "Antique Diamond Filigree Ring", you'll find a number of similars.

A helpful link above. Hard to identify cut from your photographs.

That's a classic 1920s engagement ring. No wonder she wants it; I'd want it too. We can't see the cut from those pictures, but I'd think European brilliant or similar. I'd let the daughter have it when she gets engaged. That's what it's for.

Agree. Will be particularly meaningful to her then.

It's seems very nice, but it's impossible to tell you anything because the pics are so blurry.
I would love to see better photos.

    Beautiful ring, ca 1910s.
It is, but we can't see the cut because the photos are too blurry.;) There are several round and roundish cuts, we need to see details to know which one this is.

Beautiful ring and the diamond is a good size. It's somewhat similar to my grandmother's ring and she would have been married prior to 1920 (not sure of exact date). I had my grandmother's ring for years and wore it occasionally but recently gave it to my sister to eventually give to her daughter. It is an engagement ring, my grandmother had a simple white gold wedding band with hers.
