I'm guessing white gold & emeralds? Not even sure it's fifty years or older. The clasps are probably too new of a design. But what do I know? That's why I come here. For the expertise. Anyway, got it from one of my grandmothers. My wife likes it and wears it. Like the ring I listed yesterday though, I need to get an appraisal for insurance. Only marks are 14k on the gold around the stones and 14kt on the necklace. A mark that looks like AD by itself. Plus, 20260603_181836 (1).jpg 20260603_181921.jpg another mark that looks like an asterisk (*) after one of the 14kt's. Just wondering about the usual things. Age & style mainly. Will get it appraised with some other pieces in the near future.

Those stones don't appear to be emeralds. Something semi-precious, I would think.

First, let me state that I am not very knowledgeable about jewelry, but I do have eyes that mostly work. I'm wondering if these stunning green stones were once something else that were reworked into this 3 piece set. As you said, the loops for the earrings look very new as does the chain on the necklace. From the back the fittings look newer than the gemstones and their settings. My great aunt was always changing older jewelry into something more to her liking.

I was wondering if the stones might be chrome diopside? I love the color.

I am very confident that these are peridot.
Absolutely not emerald. I'd date them to the late 80s- mid 90s. The trillion with checkerboard cut was very trendy at that time.

I'm betting on costume of some sort with lever backs added after the earrings were purchased. I can half see a mark on the back of one, but these look like crystal and costume. Can't be totally sure from a photo of course. Concur on the 90s dating.

Another vote for peridot/olivine. Wrong shade of green for other contenders. The trillion cut of the stones is a newer one. The metal does not look like any of the precious ones to me, but do I see a 10K mark on the hinged part of the earring on the right?

Another vote for peridote, although tsavorite can occasionally have the same shade of green.

    Emeralds are emerald green.:playful:
Agree, and so is the design of the jewellery, so another vote for 1990s for the set.

Checked all marks again with a Lupe. No 10K anywhere, only 14K or 14Kt.
