Ha ha.. I just imagined it,that’s quite a scenario. I don’t think it’s part of their modus operandi, they just miss pricing stuff at random or on occasion..

I do know of a charity shop that allmost as a standard has some unpriced items on the racks. I long suspected that the price varies depending on who’s asking. That was then confirmed to me by another regular buyer (not sure if he’s a dealer) who randomly told me that exact same thing.. I thought that really sucks!

I've seen that game before, and been on the wrong end of the deal more than once. OTOH I once ended up with a freebie at the ReStore because the manager liked me. Odds are it would have sold for peanuts anyway, but even so.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

What media are you using for selling these days? Or all in person? Do you still sell via eBay at all?

Brick and mortar on consignment (get a great 20% rate). Do sell on fb marketplace for some things. Haven't sold on eBay for years.

Finally sold these silver earrings after a little over 2 years. Was worth the wait. Got my full asking price of $175.00 for them, but someone got a deal. Original price is $970.00! Just took the right person to recognize what they are. Also, appeal is somewhat limited due to being clip-ons. I only paid a $1.00 for them.

I think the last thing I sold was my aunt's old Gripware mixing bowl. It wasn't in great condition, but a lady paid me $20 for it anyway! Great deal on those earrings, Brad. Patience is worth it more often than not!

I also sold an old Pepsi case with bottles on Sat, that I got for free, for $5. I tried at 20, then 10, and then took the 5 offer. I hate taking less than what I know something is worth, but I still made a profit. 20260516_071327(1).jpg

The case alone should be worth $15-20.00. You probably should have sold the bottles for a buck a piece and sold the case separately.

The space was worth more than the item. I've seen it more than once. I've also seen items that would move for $5 priced at $25.

I tried every way I could to sell those buggers for a year. Yard sales, CL, noone here wanted them :(

What's even worse is I can make money faster by flipping pure fad crap over something that has clearly stood the test of time!
