Hi there! Got these earrings in a lot from an auction recently which look like they are in their original box. They are unmarked sterling silver with paste stones and faux pearl drops (2"L). Are they from around the 1920s-30s or perhaps a little earlier? Thank you!

OOh pretty. I wear screwbacks. They might well be sterling and rhinestone, and I think I saw a mark on the inside flat part of the earring back. The pearl drops appear to be costume.

Thanks! There are no marks that I can see unfortunately, that's just the patina in the pics which looks a bit deceptive. I tested them and they are sterling and rhinestone and faux pearl :)

There are times when the box is worth more than the contents.

Agreed! I have sold many antique jewelry boxes, they are very popular.

I found a dark green, silk lined, Tiffany box once, kept the unrelated contents and sold the box. It paid for both.
