Can anybody help identify this doll?

some say Geisha , but we discount that , as just being a Japanese tourist doll.

 

Charming souvenir from Japan.

When the kimono has a plunging neckline at the back it is a geisha, when it doesn't it isn't. This doll has a regular neckline at the back, so no geisha.
Also, a geisha usually has a wider wig with more decorations on it.

 

Many of these dolls were brought back by US military serving in Japan as attractive souvenirs.
