Featured Brass Bracelet

    Hi everyone! I bought quite a few pieces of jewelry this week. This bracelet was one of the pieces. I usually don’t buy brass, but I liked this piece. Is it anything special or should I toss it in the junk drawer? I cant tell if it is vintage 70’s or 90’s? Is the makers mark anything anyone recognizes?

    Thank you. I typically like artisan made pieces better than mass produced stuff to keep and wear.
    I was wondering if that square might be silver, but I can’t figure out an easy way to test it.

    I just think it would be easier to set that nice stone in silver rather than a harder metal.....;)

    If you are going to wear it, then coat the inside with a clear nail varnish to prevent your wrist turning green.

    I saw - & bought - many brass & mixed metal cuff bracelets at crafts shows in the 80s. Lots of really creative stuff since artisans didn't have to worry about experimenting with more expensive metals.
