Featured Calif Impressionist Ptng

Hi again. I mentioned this painting I got a couple years ago, but I don't think I ever formally asked you all about it.

The guy I got it from attributed it to Robert Dudley Fullonton, as you can see on the back, but I never verified that.

Laguna Beach, I think.

Image measures 13.5" x 11" (35 x 28cm)

 

Missing a letter in the signature.

If this is painted on masonite, it just fits into the timeline.

Did they paint on masonite?

Picture #1 above is indoors, and picture #2 is outside in the bright clear sunshine.

As @Roaring20s noted, the signature seems to be missing the 'n' in ' R D Fullo(n)ton'.

Do you think that attribution is still likely, or is it inconclusive, ambiguous, or even suspect?
