I'm a huge Burns and Allen fan. I saw George many times live. I really wanted him to perform at Ceasar's for his 100th B'day. But, it wasn't to be. I have both their autographs separately. Wednesday I won this one. The amazing thing is, I put the wrong date in AI, I thought it said 11/21/44. It actually says "Convention Hall 11/28/44". This is what AI said " November 28, 1944 Guest: Jose Iturbi Live Bond Rally Broadcast (Transmitted live from Convention Hall in Philadelphia)

Since I bid and won this, I looked through their other lots, and this one is really cool. I won it for $6. Which means I paid $7.20. They're German Die Cut Calendars. 1917 - 1928 (2) - 1972. These look small. They're not. They're each roughly 20" wide. I thought my wife would like them, she doesn't. So, I'll be putting them up for sale.

This is the final thing I bid on, it's a watch fob from 1913. The machine making company (and toy trains), held a employee outing, and were given these. I don't collect things like this. But, it's cool.

When I think of Burns and Allen I remember seeing on TV Gracie brought an egg over to her neighbor. When asked why she said "This recipe is certainly silly. It says to separate two eggs, but it doesn't say how far to separate them."

    I loved them!!!!!

    I loved her also.

My absolute favorite was an episode where they get locked out their house. It's absolutely hilarious. I think a locksmith comes opens the door, and she locks the locksmith's tool in the house. In the end, George breaks a window to get them back inside. At the very end when George and Gracie talk to the audience, George says "We'll have to get a spare key, and put it under the welcome mat, so this doesn't happen again." Gracie responds "That won't work." George asks "Why?" She says "There was one there last night and it didn't help."

A watch fob with the owners face on it? Something I would stash in a drawer and never use. I wonder if they were made in house, lol. But it is kinda cool.
