Does N.P.F. stand for National Projectile Factory ? If it does , is there anything about who A.E. Tilbrook was and the connection to that ww1 era factory ?
It also says Mossend, which is a town in Scotland. N.P.F. had a plant in Mossend, so I would say it is indeed N.P.F.. Yes it was a munitions factory in Glasgow, Scotland producing shells for use by the armed forces during WWI. A.E. Tilbrook was probably a factory worker that had just retired and this was their retirement gift.
It was a longshot, but i hoped it would be a known name. Something a bit more fancy, got the 2 cigarette cases together, but the family didn't know who they belonged to. Some sort of attic find. Fancy house tho. Other one Italy 800 mark and plain back.

Bosko ) sadly there is no sweet spot on the thrift store map. Its just that ive been doing this for so long the items seem to find me. Small town too, so usually ppl just ask when they have something they think i might want.. But its not all good, when it comes to silver, the last 2 years have been a complete nightmare with the amount of silver run past me on its way to the melting pot that i couldn't buy because of my chronically insuficient funds. This recent spike in silver prices was a total disaster. Got a few things, but the amount melted down was insane. Sadly you're only seeing some of what i could save. komokwa, sure. Need to wait for better lighting but ill take a few in a bit.
