Featured This is some bull

Ha.

I think this is signed "Gene Hobbs" but I can't find anyone so named and who matches this painting's style.

Measures 16"x20". I had the heavy wood frame and put it in there, but I think it actually looks ok.

Some paint loss. I might try and touch it up myself, very inconspicuously, if possible.

Any comments about the painting, artist, touch-up potential and / or frame will appreciated, as always.

I see "Gene Hobbs" too. And I think that's a work from the Talented Amateur School.

Some interesting bull indeed. The “touch up’ required looks little and straight forward.

 

I really like it Pott AND-it sure beats the Carlos School-I'll take Pseudo Picassos over anorexic Conquistadors most days.
Also dig the impasto technique Hobbs used-oil pigments were cheaper back then !
PS- Be interesting to see how it sells ?

Actually, the painting's gonna go in my classroom. I have 24 original paintings in room E-203. I'm going for the 'salon' vibe. They make it a nice environment.

 

Could be Gina Hobbs at a stretch. The 2nd and 4th letters are different. Might yield more search results
