Featured What can you tell me about this bangle bracelet?

It was $2. No markings, but an area on the inside is rubbed, and a markings may have been there. I believe it's sterling: it cleaned up beautifully with a Sunshine cloth. It runs small, I can barely get it over the width of my had to get it on my 7 inch wrist. It is engraved with the same motif on the outside rim, the side rim, and the inside rim. It has weight. Age? Country of origin? I have not sern another like it. Thanks.

The photos aren't clear enough to see the details,the piece appears to have been made on a rolling mill and the "rubbed" area appears to be solder.

 

It sure is hard to tell much with no marks. If you knew silver content that might hint at country of origin. As far as I know little bangles like this could date from Victorian era to today. Like hollyblue says, all the ones I have seen were made of patterned silver wire/strip.

 

It has weight...would they have laid the rolled etched pieces on a base metal? It's just unusual that the inside of the bracelet is the same.
