Antique Owl Pin

    Just sharing...I love this pin. Bought it assuming it was gold filled. The pin is testing 10k, but the pin stem is not. I have had high quality gold filled pieces that test as 10K, so I'm a little skeptical, but there is none of the tell tale edge ware often seen on gold filled pins like this.

    Dang-Drg, just a beautiful parade of Jewelry. Love the Modernist and Victorian pieces (how'd I miss these !?)
    The pin's so Eastlake it's practically a homage.

    Don't some makers use a more durable non-gold material for the pin stem than for the ornamental part of jewelry?
