I'll have to dig it out & post some photos. I haven't worn it in years because it is too tight. I tried to find a replacement chain for awhile a few years back, but never was successful.

I just did a quick search on eBay & didn't see any empty chains, but if I find myself needing to sell something for some cash infusion, it shows real promise.:smuggrin::smuggrin:

Has French marks indicating the design is registered, but the government makes no guarantees about it.

Looking at it closely when I got home I think it may be ivory, I will start a thread about it next week. I'm hoping it isn't ivory, I know it's old enough but I don't think I can sell it. A shame, I may have to keep it

Found a few 17th and 18th century chargers this week for less than $10 each. Here’s three of them. I’ll show the three 18th century French pieces tomorrow.
One Lisbon 16” faience with chinoiserie decor.
One 15” Kangxi era Imari porcelain with gilding.
One plain blue and white 14” Kangxi era.

A rare sight: a matched pair of Scandinavian mahogany chests of drawers, dating to around 1830. The fronts are covered in dramatic feathered flame-mahogany veneer, carefully matched across both chests. Both feature fruitwood inlay to the tops and upper drawers, while the keyhole escutcheons appear to be made of bone. They need some attention, but finding a genuine pair like this was a real treat.

A pair of anything that's stayed together for 200 years is a rarity. Congrats!

The photos were as purchased. The French polish is actually pretty good, currently reviving it!

He said that they need some attention, so I think they were found like this. We don't see stuff like that here.
