Featured Question about an meerschaum pipe

Austrian second half of the 19th century, although I was unable to find info about the manufacturer.
But it has 2 broken pieces. The boars snout and to the left of it i think its missing the mouthpiece of the hunting horn.
But they look like clean straight breaks.
Question is if someone has experience working with meerschaum. I think i can find an old simple pipe for raw material and i have a box full of dental tools i could probably make use of.
The pipe is 30 cm in length. Broken pieces maybe 1 cm not more. But not sure if its easy to carve. Never tried it.

Thank you Davey. Saw the silver hallmark but didnt see the letter C in it. Its an Austro-Hungarian hallmark and the letter is the city mark for Prague. Czechia was part of Austro-Hungary at the time.
With the other thing i think i was misunderstood. There is an unique situation when I know what's supposed to be there.
I wouldn't be messing with the pipe, I would be adding to it.

On the right of the boar head there is an intact mouthpiece. Its a matter of carving a duplicate. Not an complicated shape. From an normal pipe i would use as a donor for the raw material.
Same with the boars snout.
The case was made to fit, so i have a general idea of the shape and size of the missing piece.
If i can come up with an acceptable result, fine, if not, again fine.
But I would never mess with the pipe as you see it now.

Looking at the close up photos i thing I was wrong about the hunting horn missing its tip to the left of the boars head, i think its suposed to be a drinking cup . Cone shape piece missing by the looks of it. And bent to the left.
Simple shape too.

found something that may help with the name in your case: Amsterdam Pipe Museum has a meerschaum cigar holder catalogued under Jos Dolezal, Prague — collection number APM 20.690, dated 1880–1900. Interestingly, it also has a carved boar’s head. It’s a different model, so that doesn’t date yours.

 

It is a blurry mark and I don't see the C either, but the Diana head mark with the town code letter inside the cartouche means it was assayed between 1872-1922.
