Featured Help with mark on sterling bracelet

Does anyone recognize the mark on this bracelet? It is signed in the most awkward place, very hard to read and even harder to photograph. I think these are the best I can get. Thanks for any help.

 

I'd say ~75% confidence on Gert Rasmussen. The maker's mark looks like GR to me. A good match is Danish silversmith Gert Rasmussen of Copenhagen

 

Thank you. It does look like GR. I found a few Gert Rasmussen pins on-line and the GR signature on them plainer than the one on my piece, and they are quite different in style also. But, it could be. The bracelet does look like it could be Scandinavian.

Agree. Danish silver is also marked with an 'S' after the fineness mark, so in this case it would be 925S.
Swedish and Norwegian silver is also marked fineness+S.

 

Thanks both — fair point about the lettering. I was too confident putting a name to it from the initials. The Danish register does list GR for Gert Rasmussen, but that isn’t enough to identify this particular stamp.

I also checked the S point: Ædelmetalkontrollen’s current guidance allows S but also gives 925 or Sterling as fineness marks.

Is it really just a G, it seems so much is going on with that letter, some additional design? It almost looks like it crosses over into the R too? Si hard to see in that location, but such a cool piece
