Hollywood & Vine late 1930's

    Just came across this pic of Hollywood & Vine in the late 1930's.Naturally this is the epicenter of a really glamorous big city,but even taking that into account-I'm still stunned by how beautifully dressed the people were back then.

    You didn't dare go out dressed in a t-shirt and jeans, like I'm wearing, and a lady wore a skirt. Gentlemen wore ties. Different era.

    Ticketed and taxed, like everything else. They now even ticket you for driving in the passing lane.(unless you're headed to an exit they built on the wrong side of the road!)

    The only Semaphore Traffic Lights I generally run across these days are in museums.
    Those two guys def look like snappily-dressed hoods !

    Now I see dudes at Funerals dressed in shorts,t-shirts and baseball caps !...'pass me that sixer bro-shhh, an keep it down'
