Featured Finds Thread

There were actually some ON cereal boxes, not sure about in.

I have a Phillies book that originally had one in it as well.

You may be right. Something in bright colours is wafting around my memory.

The Jackson Five... voices of East Anglia?????? OKay, if they say so.

Back from vacation, so time to show my (not super special) finds...

Yay! @Marote 's back!

Also got a Japanese import of Electric Ladyland in a lot of records. :O

1920s pretty girl cigarette cards? Socialites? (there's a guy in there)

I'll have to get a photo up of today's haul. It was work - out of the house on not much sleep, to a "neighborhood sale" that turned out to be.... one house. There were a few other close ones that didn't pan out. On the way home I figured I'd drive through the "old stomping ground" where I used to find everything. Found an unadvertised moving sale and finally found something to buy. Took photos and will get them edited and up once I'm awake enough.

They are movie stars of the era- almost fell over when I saw them on the table!

The cards I got were apparently packed with "Strollers" brand cigarettes, and were part of the "Movie Stars" collection from 1922. There were 200 in the set!

Very cool. I bet Valentino was the hot card of the day. Now... Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer had a film career?

Forgot to mention that the records I got today were in this crate and yes, I got it with them:

I will have to unload these cards fast before I start trying to complete the set!! OCD sucks!!

That's a dealer trying to maximize profits. The problem is finding the rest of the set.

The site claims the main image is too big, but these fit. I almost can't believe this popped up for under US$20. I'm all but certain it's whitby jet. It weighs nothing and it's jet black.

((((*&#*&#BOTS!#####!!!))) I tried to delete the extra photos and instead got a doubled post.

Who cares, that's a BEAUTY!!!!!!!!!!!
