IMG_6654.jpeg IMG_6653.jpeg IMG_6660.jpeg IMG_6655.jpeg Hi all, your thoughts please on this vibrant impasto knife-work painting. The frame looks maybe 70’s or early 80’s to me? I read the artist signature as Eacue or Eaque? Do you agree? Frame size 43 x 58cm. Popular subject and lots of rooster paintings out there.Thank you for any comments

    Nice, vibrant painting. 1970s, imo.
I read Eacus, as in the early Spanish God.

I like it-vibrant and showy. It's flamboyant but the artist knows how to make it work. The color remind me of Leroy Neiman, but imho this artist uses that palette in a more balanced way.
I see it in a tiled space with bongos and bullfighting posters-campy but good.

All I know is I LIKE THAT. It's perfect for a dark corner or a wall collage.

    That's nice. 1970s, I'd think.

Reminds me of an old Wilson Pickett song-Funky Rooster, struttin' down 'funky-funky Broadway !'

Best effort I can come up with on name of artist is that it might be PACUS. Italian artist Stanislao Pacus (1938-2005) fits the time frame 1970s for the work.May be a possability but can't find work similar
