Featured Modern Black Bird Ceramic - Need help identifying

Does anyone recognize this signature? It looks like maybe a D ate, but not sure. Have you seen some like this bird before. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

 

Think it says 'Data'.

It has a bit of an origami look.

 

It's a very attractive piece. Looks like it has some quality.

Going to be hard to find that signature as all the matches for "Date" etc. I remember I had a mystery piece signed "Glass". Never found the maker.

Hopefully someone will hit a match!

 

@Lucille.b If it's a piece of pottery signed "Glass" it may be from the San Antonio Pottery of Walt Glass. I have one of his bowls from a visit to his studio in San Antonio many years ago. He has since passed but there is still an old Facebook page:
