The lady is a print in a plaster/chalkware frame. The book looks like the cover is a bit thrashed. I have no idea if it's one of the "good" books or not. I'd only have bought the framed print if I had a Hollywood Regency room to put her in.

Sorry to say, but no. As evelyb has already noted, print (probably of a painting of one of the beauties of the day) in an inexpensively made frame that is not the gilt wood it's pretending to be. The loop for hanging looks like an improvised replacement. These were mass produced by various companies specializing in classy looking, modestly priced wall decorations.

I was doing my usual late morning dog walk today when the guy who used to help me with house clearances called to say he was pricing one up around the corner and he was unsure about the value of the numerous small items, could I attend and give some advice.

The relatives in the house made it quite clear they would rather sell the contents and only pay for the rubbish removal.

Obviously I was not interested in any large items of furniture, pottery, books etc but there were boxes of costume jewellery, coins, medals flatware etc.

I picked out what I would be interested in and they asked me to make an offer.
I got all that is pictured below for £400, only thing is I was not carrying money, I had to walk back home and get some cash and then return.

Top left 4 pieces of mainly scrap gold that scraps at £210

    Sterling silver Crown £35

5 other pieces of Sterling Silver, Christening spoon, Canada lapel pin, sugar nips, silver Chinese brooch, scrap Sterling ring.

An Ivory & brass intaglio seal with a small box for the ink pad
The seal features either an angel or cherub

    WWI RAF Cap Badge

    Trio of WWI Medals

    6 Sterling (butter knives)

One of the items is worth around £500 on its own

Its the Bravery in the Field, known as the Military Medal MM

In 1993 it was changed to the Military Cross

Its about third in line of awards, Victoria Cross, George Cross, Military Cross

Around £500 on its own, as a trio with same named recipient around £700 to £1000.

I did not have a loupe with me so was unsure of the named edges.

It will stay in my collection.
