Featured Women's bead change purse

I found this today. I've done a bit of research and think it might be missing a strap. Damn shame but it didn't cost me much.

 

It is also missing most of the fringe.
Lovely purse though, French, early 20th century.

You could always sell it as a "beautiful beaded lady's purse with rare goatee fringe".

To my eye it looks the way it was supposed to be. I don't see any sign of fringe pulling out or being cut away.

 

Quite possibly. So far I've only seen full fringe examples online and no 'goatees'. I'll keep looking

 

And it's symmetrically placed.

On the first photo you can see loops and frayed thread ends along the bottom that you don't see along the sides and top.
