Well that brings back some memories. When I lived in Brooklyn near my elementary school we had one that was similar. Not exactly the same.
I loved getting my egg cream there when I went for lunch. Memories, like the corners of my mind.

If you really don't want to keep it, please consider advertising in a major paper. I think someone will buy the whole thing. Retro diners are "in" right now and I think folks who do that kind of thing would be thrilled to get the whole setup.

We have a vacant building in Downtown area of sac. Built in 1902. We purchased it about 5 years ago and haven't done anything to it. The size is perfect for it. But after crunching the numbers it wouldn't be feasible to do.

Being in NJ, I doubt it would be too hard to find a buyer. If you can decide on a price, a craigslist and/or facebook marketplace post for NYC should get the right eyes. If too much hassle, contact a salvage dealer from the metro area to see what they would pay.

Wouldn't it be more of a diner with a soda fountain? Noticed the stove and the soup advertising.

The one near me when I was a child was a luncheonette. I remember I thought one of the waitresses there had blue hair because she dyed her hair a weird gray color that looked almost blue.
What fun to go there for lunch in Brooklyn on Flatbush Ave.

    Hi Pearl,
Perhaps your waitress used bluing to calm down the yellow on grey hair. When I was growing up there was a lot of blue haired ladies.
