I have a set of dishes with the pattern pictured below. I was told it is depression glass, but I cannot find the pattern anywhere online, so I am hoping someone here can identify it for me. It is a very simple dimpling along the rim:

I have a set of dinner, salad and dessert plates with this same pattern. Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Maybe include some more photos. Another angle might show the pattern better and the bottom is usually requested.

Hi Holly and welcome. Please try to shoot items like this creamer straight on from the side so we can see the shape clearly, like this:

Back in the 1980s there were a lot of generic kitchen wares stores that people patronized who sold this colored glassware. It was never sold as anything other than pink or green or blue glassware. There were companies who reproduced depression glass but that is not what I'm talking about that was sold in stores in the 80s.

Later, as the colored glassware and its owners aged, people started referring to it as "depression style" or even incorrectly as depression glass. Since none of it was made during the great depression in the 1930s by American companies, it's not depression glass.

I think that's what you have here. Vintage glass but not depression glass. Just to be sure, I went through my Warman's Guide to Depression Glass book and couldn't find this pattern. I'm sure others can add other information which might be pertinent.

Ah Ha! George, I think you nailed it. I found a pattern by LE Smith, No. 707, Pebbled Rim or Melba, 1930 1932. Looks like it. I stand corrected, although what I wrote above is true too, except for Holly's dishes.

Holly, are the pieces Octagon shaped?
