I wasn't expecting it to come out like this! It looks fantastic! Such a pleasure to see and know it will survive for another 100+ years. The case was also repaired so it stays original to 1845! There was some permanent damage to the actual photo, but I am just glad I saved it when I did or else it was going to be destroyed over time.

Excellent outcome. So worth preserving - this boy from the past.

Fantastic, I've got lots of those, some are still good, some are a bit faded.

WOW!!!!!! JUST................WOW!!!!! I'd heard Dags can be saved, but, OH MY!!!!! I'll recheck mine......I think there's at least one that might need saving, and that's a relative!!!!! So, definitely worth saving!!!!!

Here are the before and after pics of my daguerreotype. The glass was the only thing that was a problem before. They didn't clean the actual picture at all. So what they did for spartcom's is much more amazing!

I really love the way that the boy's legs look out of proportion to the rest of him. And also love his clothing, and his facial expression. So serious!

Wow! What a transformation! A darling little guy! Yes, he looks so serious! The second picture is very nice as well... but you can see that the photo does have some small issues. Thanks for sharing!

I just bookmarked that page. I have a dag of my g-g-grandmother (or g-g-g-grandmother - don't remember which) that is in need of help.
