Just got this from France, described as Bressan enamel type...
800 gilt silver, delightful dog teeth river pearls dangles.
    9cm or 3.5" long
    3.5cm or 1.5" wide.
    Nice purple and white enamel.
    Think it is a solje... Am I right? Resized_20200122_124003_663835078832337.jpeg Resized_20200122_121931_663835310253952.jpeg 20200122_132446.jpg

The maker's mark is a fir tree, I can't find it...
    Maybe @DragonflyWink will know:)

It is gorgeous, kyra. I know you like those pearls.:)
Søljes come in many shapes and sizes, and this one certainly has sølje elements. And from the heyday of good sølje manufacture.
I am not entirely sure it actually is one though, I suppose we need a 'bunad' expert to analyze it.:pompous:

It reminds me a bit of a pendant I just bought in Germany, which wants to be a sølje. Another question mark piece, also marked on all the round elements. I will post it when it arrives (hoping it does :nailbiting:).

Pretty, and German - Richard Garten of Dresden used a pine tree mark, but this isn't typical of their mark or their production. Would think a Pforzheim maker, they advertised jewelry in the 'Norwegian style', will poke around in a bit to see if I can find it, but there were so many makers (similar style pieces were made in Gablonz too)...

I expect my pendant to be of the same origin. It also wants to be a sølje, but is slightly 'off'.

It's beautiful.......not sure if it's Sølje either. (c/p AJ's proper spelling of the Norwegian word)

Forgot to add, that 'ribbed' wire was also used a lot in Arts & Crafts/Art Nouveau jewellery.

Ha! That'ts why I wasn't certain it was a solje (sølje!)... had a German feeling too!
Yes, I love those old river pearls, often lost and replaced by cheap chinese rice pearls:banghead:
