I saw a similar pair of drop earrings described as "Edwardian Openwork Silver Filigree" - would that be correct terminology for this set I have:

I bought these from an elderly couple (in their 70s, at least) who told me they had belonged to the mother or grandmother of one of them.
The necklace & bracelet are unmarked, but I had them checked with a jeweler's electronic gun, and they are both .925 Sterling Silver.
The earrings are marked "835", but tested close to .850 with the gun.
I'd welcome any insight on this beautiful set. The former owner was a world traveler, so they could come from anywhere... THANX!

Your pieces are lovely but they could be much more recent than Edwardian. Without a maker’s mark it would be difficult to pin down a time frame.

The German jewelry makers were producing a lot of similar silver filigree in the 1930s, and .835 fineness was pretty common then in Germany...

    How do the earrings affix?

Yes, I know Germany is one country that made .835 silver. It's odd that the necklace and bracelet, that match the earrings, are .925...

That filigre style is still made, so it may be a happy marriage.

Never a bad idea to show things like the backs of the earrings and the catches, etc, can often provide clues, as well as sometimes catching something that might have been missed. Kind of bothered by the lack of marks on the other two pieces, poking around a bit, believe these are Dutch, you might look for a tiny sword mark.

Here's the same design bracelet, no pic, but described as having a Dutch sword with an '835', dating it to 1953 or later:

And another described as '835', it also bears Dutch marks:

True, and could have been purchased by the piece at the same time...

Beautiful set. I'm with the others, not Edwardian. My guess is 1950s-60s, and probably Dutch.
Agree. Both 835 and 925-950 were used in the Netherlands, and the Dutch made a lot of filigree, still do. Recent Dutch silver is mostly 925.

Earrings are certainly much later than Edwardian. Clip style is at least 1950s.

It is Dutch AJ. I have a bracelet like it. it's from 1953 which was the last time they use the keyhole stamp symbol. See i learn from the best!
