Wondering what effect covering or lining those N-95 masks with something like the "rip-stop" nylon??? It's pretty 'dense' yet breathable, and should be a secondary layer of protection?? But I know nothing else about it....

Walther PPK 8mm pistol, 7 live rounds in the mag and no safety on:eek:

Made in West Germany so at least 30 years old. and possibly 70 years old.

    The safety does not work.

are you sure it's not an alarm or gas pistol ?
anyways, watch out - contrary to the 7.65 that is more reliable - these here are often jamming.

    Another week of pickings: 898AFC81-DC71-4886-AB2A-296B8793B75B.jpeg
Two gold fill cameos brooches, small twiggy screwback coral earrings, black double leaf david andersen brooch, sterling Plique a jour pendant, David Andersen enamel and rock crystal pendant, sterling & enamel triple band ring, coral grape bunch screwback earrings, sterling double faux pearl ring, several cameo rings, Denmark sterling & enamel necklace and coral rose pin in original box.

Some close ups of my favorites.

10E5CE67-24B1-40B3-914D-9CB4E8C1256E.jpeg Uni David Andersen pendant, “Trollspeil”

152A793F-7D8D-4278-A69D-985984380AF7.jpeg 10k gold cameo ring. I think the center is glass.

DE69318A-FCB3-4D00-93EF-BECB0A6A29F2.jpeg Brooch is marked 800 on the back. I am a bit confused about the off color on the piece overall but maybe it had a gold coating that came off with age?

239B1C49-72A5-43C0-A307-94067F5C8BC2.jpeg Sterling fish set. I think the handles may be ivory. Haven’t dated this one yet.

That's a fruit set rather than fish - could be ivory, but suspect it may be celluloid (Xylonite, or sometimes Parkesine) in old British catalogs)...

Good to know! How can we tell the difference?

Close-ups would help in the material as well as reading the marks (both materials would have been used for decades) would have been used for, and you have them in hand - but they look pretty uniform in color, size and shape, making me think celluloid...

Ah, my apologies I meant if they are for fruit vs fish.

Sorry if you meant the difference between fruit and fish set, the slender blades and small working ends of the forks indicate a fruit set...

True, they may have been offered as a dessert set as well, though they often had slender blunt-end blades, but it wouldn't be for fish...
