My parents are both looking to downsize, and my mom has decided she wants to get rid of her precious moment collection. She told me I could sell them if I would like. I have no idea what I am sitting on, there are nearly 700 precious moments. She said she thinks she has all 21 originals. I have seen a few of the originals already (God loveth a cheerful giver). Some of them are signed by the artists themselves. She also bought from the people who own the company part of a mold for the precious moment, which was also bought with two precious moments that are in stages before final production and some supplies used to make the precious moments. I will probably begin listing these all on eBay if no one is interested.

I did a quick Google query which you may have done yourself and they initially said:
"According to Today, the Precious Moments figurines from the “Original 21” collection that was released in 1979 are considered vintage collectibles and could be worth up to $750. The publication reports that the most prized “Original 21” piece is called “God Loveth a Cheerful Giver,” according to an expert.Apr 25, 2019"

Thank you, here are some pictures of what I have. I saw that "God Loveth a Cheerful Giver" was so expensive so thats why I set that one to the side. 2A4B4FFA-AE2E-4B84-93CA-705A09DF399A.jpeg BB6E78FC-C28F-441D-85C9-D71EE80C60BD.jpeg 05222AB8-57F3-4951-98F3-AB2F5027D778.jpeg 89A9F49D-16E3-4444-9ED1-4781885AA999.jpeg 0EF27176-B3BB-444E-8922-0C3EE3B14937.jpeg

Sorry about that, I simply copied this from a different place I sent it, and I forgot to take that part out. I am just looking for more information about this type of stuff, thank you :)

700 is a heck of a lot of anything, but in this case, except for the "original 21" and possibly odds and ends from the process of making them, the amount you can easily get for the others is not going to be a whole lot of money individually. There were just too many made of each.

Well now, those really do surprise me, Book. Guess it's going to be worth Parker's time to do sold searches on eBay after all. These 2 examples do seem to be way more unusual than the ones that I have typically run across at sales out here.

Always good to see at least more than one sale.

Ebay is going to be your friend for researching these. If mom is still healthy and happy to help, I'd have her pull out the ones she thinks might be more valuable and set those aside as a starting point. Another idea would be to have her separate older ones from newer. PM's are well marked as to their title, so easy to look up. You can also do a search for "Precious Moments Original 21". Lots come up. Then check under "Completed/SOLD". "SOLD" being important. And make sure you are comparing apples to apples. This kind of thing needs to be chip/damage free for the most part.

The vast bulk of the 700 probably are not going to have good resale, but who knows there might be a few in the mix that make the whole project worthwhile. There are currently over 68K Precious Moments on Ebay (just looked) the bulk unsold, but the odd rare ones still seem to have a following. Another idea is just to list anything in question at auction, not BIN. Then market will decide value.

    Good luck.
