Honestly I have fewer problems with old VHS then old DVDs. A few years back I bought a spare VHS player at an auction for a $1 and it has served me well after my previous one started to have problems. It is amazing to me that VHS from the 80's still work great.

Cups and saucers of almost any kind, with the exception of things like R.S. Prussia and certain fine china sets. People want mugs and the very specific ones on their lists!

There is a seller on etsy that sells more cups and saucers than I have ever seen. I know nothing about cups and saucers really except someone told me that if they have the butterfly handle on the cups, they may be worth buying for resale.

Rockwell plates for sure, also plates with birds or children don't move at all. Although I do well with some plates.

Many common clear EAPG patterns. I just hate passing them up, but I can't save them all.
1950s wine glass sets. The bowls are too small for today's wine drinker.

I like Dan Brown books, so I would definitely buy one, if it was one I didn't already have.

But I CERTAINLY agree with 50 Shades series. I worked in an thrift shop for 10 years. And the NUMBER OF TIMES we could NOT sell those damn 50 shades books, I could not tell you. 50c each, and they were stacking up like firewood!!

    Also - Silver-plate / EPNS. Again, 50c a piece - nobody wants them.

@clutteredcloset49 I am so with you on EAPG! I have 2 shelves full of it in my workroom, just can't pitch it but it sure doesn't sell anymore!

I have my grandmothers EAPG, at least I think that is what it is. I can't bring myself to toss it out. I remember when it was selling like hot cakes. Oh well that ship has sailed.

I try to use as much as I can. Bowls and glasses - Way toooo many bowls.

Single sugar bowls and creamers are what I pass up the most.

Oh, dear! I've managed to not get into punch bowls but I have about 8 cakestands. Small bowls, cups, cordials, pitchers. I'm hoping someday they will have more interest again.

Punch bowls make great gift baskets - wipes & powder & stuff for a baby, chips and snacks for a housewarming, fruit for someone out of hospital or sick, etc. Then they can use the bowl as a catch all for baby stuff, chips, etc going forward or make up their own use. I have a friend who has one he's used for bags of chips, bagels, crackers, etc. for over 20 years. Turns clutter into a convenient centerpiece (for a bachelor pad:)).

    Yes they do.
I have one on the kitchen table right now with the bag of oranges emptied into it.
The Heisey one is holding the bread and burritos.

I don't know about where you live, but in my area the older teens are really into the thrift shops, it's cool now. My daughter finds great vintage clothes. I always see vintage LPs of classical, big band or "Oklahoma" show tunes type of music that seem to be collecting dust.

Silver plated Revere repro bowls for third place at country club golf tourney or republican junior scholarship award.

Edit: plus a crap load of coffee makers and kitchen gadgets that do one specific thing that no one actually wants to do.
