Hello. Can anyone help me please with these vases? Who made them and when? Does this mark mean that THOSE vases participated in the exhibition and won it?

It may not be the specific ones, but the designs, if you see what I mean.

I'd say spot on. Majolica is the right term. They're lovely.

I have seen winners of an exhibition prize also incorporate that info as part of their branding on future products, not necessarily the prize winning entry. Some of the catalogues are on line. There's a chance you could find out whether HB won a prize for an entry matching these, which I want soooo much.

It says "hors concours", which means they participated but weren't part of the competition, so no prize. Being selected for participation does imply quality of course.:)

Since Expositions Universelles is in the plural, I think they're giving results of several different events. They have a medaille d'or & a grand prix. Think it also says they were members of the jury, as well as hors concours.

Thanks for that info.:) Most of the text is a bit of a blur to me, I only managed to read the hors concours bit.
I have noticed a worsening eyesight since my covid, so you will all have to be extra pairs of eyes for a bit longer.:watching:

Wouldn't be the least surprised. This virus seems to find tissues it can invade all over the body, not just the lungs. Oh boy. If we're relying on my eyes/brain, we could be in for a strange ride. :cyclops:
