(I promise, this WILL be the last from me for a bit xx)

I don't know what this is ( well quelle surprise!!)
    It's very small...an inch.
It's got plate loss at the bottom, and tis a bit green in places.
Even I can see it's meant to hang from something but is there a reason why it's got so much going on in such a small space?

I have a weakness for this sort of brooch and I always seem to accumulate them!
The first one is an inch and a half.
I know it's hard to tell from pics but can anyone tell what stone they are, please?

NO IDEA what this is made of

This could be a frame maybe? It was ( someone else's) detecting find xx
    Two inches

Don't think this is jet as it's brown inside? The smaller beads are glass
    It's 14 inches x

    Please don't stop.:(
Bou, I tweaked this one, with the bumpy surface and the way it fractures I think it is 'akar bahar' from Indonesia. The slightly sloppy wrapping is also typical for akar bahar jewellery. The metal is probably low fineness gold.

Akar bahar is related to coral.
This is one of my akar bahar bracelets, you can see the slightly rough surface and the grain along the length of it.

First one is a little fob, which needs a vinegar bath. Nice Victorian carnelian and agate brooches. Jet is organic, so can be brown inside. Take the loo cistern lid off and scrape the bracelet gently on the inside. Black smear = jet.

Well the logical answer is *car boots and for pennies* but there seems to be a LOT of it somehow and I don't remember gathering it all :O

I agree with AJ, no need to stop if you have more questions! Your items are enjoyable to see. :)

The first one in question sort of looks like some kind of charm... maybe representing some kind of oil lamp or canister? It appears (from photos, can be deceiving, though) to be plated rather than sterling, but you could check. Those pins with the stones are cool, I've never seen similar. Maybe not so much in the U.S., I see why you like them. First thought on the necklace was Jet. I wondered if maybe the rectangular panels were some kind of lacquer, and just the beads jet, but will defer to OBB on that one. (That is my favorite piece by the way.)

I think the little pendant (amber colored) is glass. Vintage at least I would think.

    Thank you Lucille xxx

I think the collar may be jet now too...hope so! I have some panels the same which are loose too, wonder where I put them...

Now you've said that, the charm looks like a shisha base.

I'd agree the wee pendant is glass.

With only the photo to go by, my first thought was that this is coral:

Handling it could easily change my mind, but the way the pin is affixed is something I see only in materials softer than stone.

I would call this jasper rather than agate. The difference is that it is opaque:

Very unusual to see the findings glued on, but there it is.

Black collar necklace could be a mix of materials, I see this sometimes with black stuff, but AJ is right about the brown on the inside not ruling out jet. Vulcanite type materials can gradually go brownish on the outside. If the panels are jet, seems likely beads are too, but you should check both, just in case.
