I use Firefox too, and it hasn't happened to me lately.

As long as it works ok that's fine. Next time it starts acting up, ask again.

 

If you have an Apple product and have recently updated your OS you may have the same issue I have had. The only way to fix this, and it’s proven to only be temporary (but not frequent) is to completely shut down unit. I have the iPad Pro and I have to press the home button and the power off button at the same time to shut down. I wait a few minutes and power up. It does help with a lot of issues like that. I hope I helped, or maybe you have tried. Powering off and using restart won’t help. Shut down only I have found. Good luck.

 

I used to have that "working" thing happen occasionally, but that was back when I was on a WIN7 machine and it did not matter whether I was using IE or FF. Note the use of "occasionally." I always suspected it had something to do with my ISP connection or "competition" with other users on the cable because of the times of day that it happened. But the part about having the post still be open is new to me.

 

I'll know better when I hit Post for this one, but yesterday it just suddenly stopped doing it. However, in checking on new activity in a thread where I had posted previously & found my message still there in the reply box, waiting for me to resume it, even though the posted message was also there. Draft was not being deleted upon posting; the process wasn't completing. Where I find 'em, will have to delete manually.

 

It's a PC with WIN10 that gets updated whenever MS insists. Not aware of a big update in the last week.

 

Mine is a laptop with win10 (and firefox). I think we had an update on friday or saturday, but it didn't have any effect on posting.

 

My new (end of April) tower is running 10 as well.

 

There was a large-ish WIN10 update I think weekend before last. Also a FF tweak in there somewhere. I don't close my browser daily, so sometimes I'll have a FF update that has been downloaded but not installed until they beg me.
