komokwa The Truth is out there...!

no , just ran my tooth over it.....no grit....like the red ones....just smooth with no tap tap noise...
like touching my tooth to a plastic pen..

Holy smokes. Now THAT is a bracelet. And that necklace ... you could eat dinner off of that thing.

I'm for jet. Just 'tooth tested' pieces of mine & they do indeed feel like plastic, except warmer. The first time I got a cameo in a jet setting, the English seller had to reassure me it wasn't plastic.

I know robin's egg blue is much coveted, but I prefer my turquoise greener, like the stones on you wrist.

me too ! luv the green hue..

Yes, I'm a fan of Jet now....thinking it was traditional to the time, & Holly got me looking closer at it .
If they were cut and polished from the same piece then the same crack would indeed show up on them all !!
It's cold in the room and the Turq & coral are cold...but the black stones....are warm !

    And then there's Wiki.......I mean ...REALLY !!

"The touch of a red-hot needle should cause jet to emit an odour similar to coal."

    No, I will NOT !!!!:arghh:

For kyratango's sake, I think you should taste it. My Herbert Halate (Zuni) Kentucky jet mountain lion says jet.

Dense, shiny without being glossy, smooth to the teeth, warm to the touch &, for Sunday morning laughs, when I sniff my mountain lion's butt, it has a faintly metallic smell. As you can see, it is also a dust magnet. If you want more evidence, try giving one of your cabs a vigorous rub & see if fluff will be attracted.

Cats are very clean, so it's totally OK to do this, as long as he doesn't object.......

He must have been "grown" as the locals would say. A woman might wear that higher up on her arm.

I received an 8 1/2" fine gold chain as part of an auction lot. Just fits my ankle on days I don't sit too much.

That probably wouldn't work with a cuff. Or it might but dang that would hurt.
