This Art Nouveau poppy lamp is, I believe, from France ca. 1900. It's brass, 10" high X 11" wide. Any ideas on the maker? There are no markings at all. Thanks!! P1010380.JPG P1010381.JPG P1010382.JPG

Against a plain background would be so much easier for these old eyes to see :-(

Can't help in the identification, Ghopper, but it sure is pretty.

I also love the lamp & wish I had some insight into its making. Sensibility is Tiffany era/art nouveau. Would such a lamp have been reproduced in a later decade? Clearly meant for a boudoir.

Yes, the whole poppy/narcotic theme fits with the Parisian "Decadent '90s." The lamp was sold to me as period, and I have no reason to doubt it. Although the wiring has been replaced, I have to use an adapter because of it's European-style prongs. I think it's been "living" in France until fairly recently, when it was imported to the U.S.
