Featured Vintage Tufted Fabric-Shell Chair...Hollywood Regency??...What Era??

    You may already know the following but . . . the "tufting" on the chair is called "channel tufting/channel tufted." I have a favorite old upholstered armchair with a channel tufted back (but not a "channel tufted" seat). It is my favorite "reading" chair. ;)

    My first thought is 1930`s Hollywood Regency...But it sorta has an Art Deco look??

    Crazy thought, but the legs and the height of the back make it look like there's a rococo revival slipper chair underneath all that.

    A friend of mine saw the same thing....She thought it was a Victorian chair,that was reupholstered in the 1950`s
